This display explores the development of War Cloister, from the origins of the project in the midst of the First World War to the realisation of Herbert Baker’s designs in the 1920s. Items on display include early drawings for War Cloister, objects associated with Wykehamists who served in the war, and two outstanding works of art from the collection of Montague Rendall: CRW Nevinson’s, Twilight and a Winchester Triptych by Eleanor Fortescue-Brickdale.
